Goodguys 2023 Hall of Fame Road Tour – Day 7
The final day of the Goodguys Hall of Fame Road Tour wound from Reno down to Pleasanton, California, just in time to join in the fun of the 36th West Coast Nationals! The tour was treated to a drive through Incline Village, Kings Beach, and Tahoe City on the north side of beautiful Lake Tahoe, before driving its western coast south to Emerald Bay and eventually South Lake Tahoe where everyone had their pick of a lunch stop in the quaint “coastal” town.
Once back on the road, we stopped at Pure Metal Works after a scenic drive through the Sierra Nevada mountains for a look around at their projects and builds. The shop name says it all as their team are experts in working metal into fabulous forms and hot rod builds – with am emphasis on trucks. Back on the road, it was the last leg of the tour as we wound through Stockton, Tracy and finally into Pleasanton – the birthplace of Goodguys Rod & Custom, and an area we will always consider home.
The 2023 Hall of Fame Tour may now be over, but the memories will live on for a lifetime. Tomorrow is just a short drive over to the Alameda County Fair Grounds to kick off the West Coast Nats!
