Friday First Look! Goodguys 26th Speedway Motors Southwest Nationals

Who’s ready for an awesome weekend of automotive fun in Arizona! Goodguys is lighting the wick on the final blowout of the 2023 event season with the 26th Speedway Motors Southwest Nationals! We’re rockin’ and rollin’ here at Westworld of Scottsdale at what promises to be a fantastic finale to a great year of Goodguys Good Times.

The extended weekend got started on Thursday with our traditional Hot Rod Cruise around the greater Phoenix metro area. More than 100 rods, customs, and classics joined us for a fun jaunt that traveled to Fat Fender Garage, Streetside Classics, All American Billet, and the Martin Auto Museum. What a fun way to get this event rolling.

The weather gods shined on us today, with sunny skies and warm temperatures. Participants and spectators alike were treated to an eyeful as they cruised into the facility past our lineup of 2023 Top 12 Of the Year winners. These top-tier builds just keep getting better, and this year’s winners are certainly a highlight of the event.

We also welcomed more than 150 local high school students to this morning’s ASE Education Foundation Careers in Hot Rodding program, where they got to hear from industry representatives about employment options in our industry, and then check out the cool cars at the show. We’ve had a lot of success with this program this year and look forward to continuing to expose the next generation to hot rodding in the future.

As you might expect, we’ve got an incredible weekend lined up to wrap up our year. Not only will there be thousands of the coolest cars and trucks cruising the Westworld grounds, but we’ll also have our CPP AutoCross Series finale – featuring the Duel in the Desert and King of the Desert Shootouts. There’s also the biggest Goodguys swap meet of the year, Nitro Thunderfest exhibitions, scores of vendors to shop with, kids activities, and much more. It’s a season finale you don’t want to miss, so be sure to get here if you can and watch Goodguys and Fuel Curve social media for more highlights!
