Goodguys 2023 Hall of Fame Road Tour – Day 5

It was nice to stay in the same hotel for two nights, but it was time for the Goodguys Hall of Fame Road Tour to move out of Park City, Utah, and continue heading west. We didn’t get too far before stopping by Weaver Customs to see what this talented crew was working on – which included a little something for everyone – including customizing a 2009 Rolls Royce!

A short cruise later brought us to the Utah Motorsports Campus, one of the biggest and most diverse motorsports facilities in North America. There’s a 4.5-mile road racing track, a pro karting track, an 8-acre rock crawling area, 7-acre skid pad, 22-acre off-road short course, with a bunch of automotive related businesses surrounding the area – including Streamline Custom Designs.

You may recognize the name Streamline as they just put the finishing touches on the new Goodguys Giveaway ’32 coupe. It was great to see what else they had in the works and everyone was able to snoop around and grab some lunch courtesy of the UMC before hitting the road toward the fastest place on earth – the historic Bonneville Salt Flats.

Just a few weeks ago the SCTA hosted Speed Week though they lost a couple days due to the flooded area. It was so cool to cruise out past “the bend in the road” and to where the racers drive out onto the salt and out to the race course. After breathing in the history of the Flats, the tour hopped the state line into Wendover, Nevada, for the evening.
