PowerMAX Plus Starters from Powermaster
The Powermaster PowerMAX Plus series of starters are compact and lightweight yet deliver high torque in a direct bolt-on package at a very competitive price point. The starters are designed to replace the OEM Hitachi style starter but have been engineered to handle the higher torque requirements of performance-built engines. Each starter features all new components including an efficient motor assembly, heavy duty clutch assembly and a uniquely designed solenoid that is capable of handling 12-16 volts.
For applications using headers or other modifications, the PowerMAX Plus starters feature a sturdy billet mounting block that has provisions to clock the motor assembly for additional clearance. In our LS application, the clocking feature came in handy to clear the aftermarket exhaust manifolds we used and left plenty of space between the solenoid and exhaust.
PowerMAX Plus Starters are available most popular domestic engines including the GM LS platform, small and big block Chevy and Ford, the Coyote as well as for Chrysler applications. Every PowerMAX Plus Starter is dyno tested and shipped with its own proof of performance dyno sheet, detailed instructions and new mounting hardware (where applicable).
