Friday First Look! Goodguys 35th Griot’s Garage Pacific Northwest Nationals

Who’s ready for a Northwest hot rod party? Goodguys is bringing the Good Times back to Washington this weekend for the 35th Griot’s Garage Pacific Northwest Nationals! This is one of the oldest national events on the Goodguys calendar, and it’s one of our favorites for several reasons. First and foremost is the fact that the laid-back atmosphere at the Washington State Fair Events Center in Puyallup is second to none and creates an ideal relaxed atmosphere for our special brand of hot rod fun.

We’ve already got things off to a great start here in the Seattle area, beginning with Thursday’s Poker Run organized by the King’s Men Car Club that took us around the area with visits at several great museums and stops. We ended up the run at the Griot’s Garage headquarters in Tacoma for a fun afternoon kickoff party to help set the mood for the next few days.

Friday morning clouds quickly burned off as the events center steadily filled up with rods, customs, classics, muscle cars, and other machines of every style and color. This event always brings out great variety, as enthusiasts in this region aren’t afraid to dare to be different. We love the bold and unique rides that join us here each year.

The weekend is going to be stacked full of fun happenings, from the Friday Night Drags at nearby Pacific Raceways, to multiple Nitro Thunderfest exhibitions, a smokin’ Burnout Contest, the annual Pinstripers’ Brush Bash, an Indoor Car Show, sizeable swap meet, and plenty of vendors selling great hot rod parts and more. And of course, there will also be the nonstop cruising this event is known for, plus great live music and summer evenings filled with watching cars and visiting with friends. It’s a party you don’t want to miss, so come on out and join us if you can!
