Friday First Look! Goodguys 30th Summit Racing Lone Star Nationals Presented by BASF
Get ready for some hot times in Texas this weekend as the 30th Summit Racing Lone Star Nationals presented by BASF returns to Texas Motor Speedway! We’re bringing three days of summertime fun to Fort Worth with a weekend full of cool cars and good times to celebrate three decades of Texas-sized Goodguys events in the Lone Start State!
Warm temperatures and cool cars make for a perfect combination in Texas, which is something we’ve proven yet again this week. We kicked off the festivities with three days of cruising around the Metroplex for our first-ever Texas Hot Rod Week, which got our engines runnin’ as we toured cools shops, stops, and collections in the area. After a laid-back kickoff party at the DFW Marriott hotel Thursday night, we began filling the Texas Motor Speedway infield Friday morning with thousands of cool cars, hot trucks, and fine rides of all varieties. Goodguys and ASE Education Foundation also welcomed hundreds of local high school students for a Careers in Hot Rodding program presented by WyoTech.
Now that we’ve hit the throttle, we’re not planning to let up until Sunday afternoon! In other words, get ready for a full weekend of Goodguys Good Times that includes incredible cars and trucks, plus fantastic activities like Team Texas rides, Nitro Thunderfest exhibitions, a Burnout Contest, and some intense competition for one of our elite Top 12 awards – the 2023 BASF America’s Most Beautiful. We’ll also have Customs and Hot Rods of Andice choosing a Builder’s Choice Top 10, finalists being selected for several regional Top 12 awards, dozens of other awards and picks, plus hundreds of vendors – including the spectacular Summit Super Shopping Experience! Add in Goodguys CPP AutoCross Series action, and you’ve got fun times at every turn.
