Friday First Look! Goodguys 14th FiTech Fuel Injection Spring Nationals presented by Grundy Insurance

Let the season begin! Goodguys cruised into the 2024 event season today in Scottsdale, Arizona as we kicked off the 14th FiTech Fuel Injection Spring Nationals presented by Grundy Insurance. Vintage cars and trucks of all colors brought warmth, color, and energy to WestWorld of Scottsdale as we did our best to fend off some springtime Arizona clouds and showers during the afternoon.

Dozens of participants got the weekend started early during the Hot Rod Cruise on Thursday. True to tradition, the cruise provided a tour of the Phoenix metro area with stops at cool shops and businesses like Vintage Parts of Arizona, RamJet Speed Shop, Buddy Stubbs Arizona Harley-Davidson, and Gateway Classic Cars. It was a fun day of cruisin’ that got us revved up and ready for the weekend!

Another special feature to start the weekend was the Careers in Hot Rodding program Friday morning presented by Goodguys and the ASE Education Foundation. This welcomed more than 100 high school students for a panel discussion with industry professionals and a chance to explore the show. What a great way to introduce a new generation to hot rodding!

All in all, it was a laid-back Friday that made for a slow cruise into the new season before afternoon rain brought things to an early end for the day. That’s okay, though, because there’s lots of Southwest sun on tap for the rest of the weekend. We’re expecting a stellar Saturday and a spectacular Sunday here in Scottsdale, so roll on out and join us if you can!
