Friday First Look! Goodguys 2nd Grundy Collector Car Insurance Great American Nationals

Goodguys is keeping the summer car show momentum going strong with a swing to the Northeast this weekend as the 2nd Grundy Collector Car Insurance Great American Nationals comes to York, Pennsylvania! We’ve returned to the scenic and historic York Expo Center for three days of automotive fun and Goodguys Good Times!

There’s a fantastic concentration of vintage cars, hot rod history, and racing tradition in this region and the area enthusiasts are always up for a gathering with fellow gearheads. We got things rolling early with a laid-back Thursday Hot Rod Cruise to the Eastern Museum of Motor Racing, a fantastic hidden gem showcasing a selection of circle track and drag racing cars and engines, plus a big-time assortment of memorabilia.

The Hot Rod Cruise returned to York just in time for a fun-filled Open House and Kickoff Party at Winters Performance, manufacturers of those coveted quick-change rearends found under thousands of race cars and hot rods. The Winters team offered facility tours and kept their grills busy all afternoon cooking up burgers and hot dogs, while the parking lot filled with a smorgasbord of tasty rides. What a great way to whet your appetite for the weekend!

Friday morning dawned a little damp as some showers moved through the area, but by mid-morning the moisture was drying up and the rods, customs, classics, muscle cars, and trucks were rolling in and filling up the York Expo Center. There was plenty of shinin’ and bench racin’ to be done, we had a Nitro Thunderfest show for the crowd, vendors were showcasing their wares, and the Goodguys CPP AutoCross Series racers were able to tear up the track all afternoon.

It’s shaping up to be another great Goodguys weekend here in York! We’ve got a full schedule of activities on tap to keep the fun flowing all three days. Come join us if you can and stay tuned for more digital coverage!
