Bolt-in Pro Touring Suspension System for ’67-’68 Mustangs from Total Cost Involved
Fans of ’67-’68 Mustangs can bolt in a new Total Cost Involved front and rear suspension package to give their classic pony an all new, modern level of performance handling with increased control, balance and much better stance.
The 1967-1968 Ford Mustang Pro Touring IFS is engineered for increased performance, strength, control, drivability, handling capabilities and opens the engine compartment for easier engine swaps. Maximizing performance and increased ground clearance while lowering the vehicle were the primary goals for the TCI engineers and they started with a custom spindle with bolt on steering arms to provide modern geometry. This custom spindle improves the camber gain and scrub radius compared to traditional Mustang II spindles while their steering arms allow more turning radius, better Ackerman alignment with virtually no measurable bumpsteer. A quick ratio Fox Body rack is included along with a Wilwood 12″ Pro-Series Forged Billet Front Hub and Rotor Kit with black 4-piston Dynalite calipers.
TCI’s Torque Arm Rear Suspension (designed for cars equipped with DSE mini-tubs) assembly is engineered for street, autocross and road course applications. The systems is designed to eliminate the suspension bind that occurs when cornering using the stock conventional leaf spring suspension. The Torque Arm features a telescoping slider at the front of the arm that rotates/plunges as the car goes through suspension travel and articulation. This allows the car’s handling to be controlled by the coilovers and the sway bar with no binding variables. In addition to the subframe connectors, TCI also provides an A-frame connector that diagonally connects the link bar mounts to the drive shaft loop adding serious rigidity to the Mustang. The Mustang Pro-Touring Rolling Package comes with a Currie 9″ axle housing with all bracketry fixture welded and 31-spline axles.
TCI Engineering stands by their products with a Dual Warranty: There is a lifetime warranty for in-house manufactured items and 6-Year/ 60,000-Mile for wear and tear items. For more information on TCI’s Mustang suspension solutions or other products, click over to Total Cost Involved.
