TCI Automotive offers a 4L60E to Ford Bellhousing or a Complete Transmission Package
It’s always good to see a Ford engine in a Ford hot rod. The venerable small-block Ford provides plenty of performance in a small package making it ideal for loads of classic vehicles…plus it just makes sense. One area that is lacking a bit for Ford fans however, is the ability to easily upgrade to a modern, electronic four-speed automatic transmission. GM fans have the popular 4L60E electronic 4-speed automatic that is plentiful with plenty of aftermarket support making them ideal for upgrades. The great news is that TCI Automotive now offers a a bell housing adatper or even a complete transmission package that allows the easy installation of a 4L60E to Ford small-block.
Cast in aluminum at the Edelbrock Foundry in the USA, the TCI bellhousing adapter features precision machined faces ensuring perfect alignment between the engine and transmission. An inspection plate allows access to the torque converter bolts for easy assembly and disassembly. A steel flexplate also comes with the bellhousing, specific to your engine and torque converter, to mate a Ford converter to a TCI 4X or GM 4L60E transmission. The bellhousing can be purchased separately or as part of a package with a complete TCI 4X 4L60E.
The 4X Four-Speed Auto Transmission Packages include a 4L60E transmission rated to 500 ft./lbs. of torque, small-block Ford bellhousing, adapter flexplate, transmission cooler, dipstick, and all necessary hardware. Multiple packages offering more components are available for more choices.
