Auto Metal Direct is Helping OBS Fans with Complete OBS Dashboard Assemblies and More

Fans and owners of GM OBS Trucks owe a debt of thanks to Auto Metal Direct for their latest new products. The automotive restoration and replacement parts manufacturer recently announced all new premium OBS Dashboard assemblies for the ’88 – ’91 models and ’92 – ’94 Chevy/GMC trucks. As icing on the cake, they also released a fresh Radiator Support Bushing kit for OBS trucks too!

The Dash Panel Assemblies were developed using state-of-the-art manufacturing processes and the tooling to produce a product that meets and exceeds the expectations of classic truck and SUV enthusiasts. The Dash is designed to replicate the originals in both appearance and functionality.

The plastic shell of the OBS Dashboard is attached to an untreated metal frame with rivets and screws, just like the original factory assembly. Additionally, the frame incorporates factory air ducting, which is essential for maintaining the functionality of the vehicle’s heating and cooling systems. One of the standout features of this new dash panel assembly is its built-in UV resistance.

The dash is manufactured with materials that include a UV inhibitor, which helps prevent damage from sun exposure, ensuring that the panel retains its appearance and structural integrity over time. The panel is finished in black, ready to be prepped and painted to match the vehicle’s factory interior using any preferred interior dye or paint.

The AMD OBS Dashboard Assemblies accept all factory dash components, making installation straightforward and is also fully compatible with AMD’s extensive selection of replacement dash trim, allowing for a complete and cohesive interior restoration.
