Jeff Starnes’ 1969 Camaro built by Ambition Road
When Jeff Starnes first saw the quality of work being done by Aaron Elenbaum at Ambition Road in Troutman, North Carolina, he vowed to have a car built there. A few years later, he made good on that promise, dropping off a ’69 Camaro with instructions for it to be “black, supercharged, and loud!”
Aaron wasted little time getting busy. He started by setting the Camaro up with a Detroit Speed front subframe assembly and Quadralink rear suspension, along with Baer six-piston disc brakes behind 18×10- and 19×12.5-inch Forgeline wheels fitted with Michelin rubber. Jeff’s desire for forced induction was fulfilled with a supercharged LT4 crate engine beautifully detailed with Katech valve covers, a custom air intake system, and satin black paint. A Tremec T56 six-speed lets Jeff enjoy shifting gears.
Body modifications are highlighted by a custom-fabricated hood that’s extended and incorporates a functional heat extractor. The grille, valence, and front and rear spoilers are all custom fabricated, as are the rocker panels, taillight panel, and acrylic LED taillights. Beautiful black Glasurit paint covers the incredibly straight body. The custom dash was built at Ambition Road and fitted with Dakota Digital instruments, while Hot Rod Interiors by Chuck stitched the black Moore & Giles leather over Recaro seats.

Sleek, slick, and supercharged, the Camaro is just what Jeff ordered and proves that he made a smart choice when entrusting Ambition Road with his project.
