Easily Upgrade Your GM OBS Truck to Rear Discs with Wilood
Wilwood now offers a new brake kit option for rear drum-to-disc conversions on 1988 – 1998 GM C1500 Silverado, Sierra and similar SUVs. Complete bolt-on brake kits provide an upgrade to make your truck safer with improved stopping power. Wilwood’s calipers and rotors provide more clamping force with better thermal capacity and improved pedal feel for more confident braking in daily driving or during more “spirited” runs.
The rear brake kits include internal parking brake assemblies with a cable connection kit and are compatible with Wilwood front kits, factory ABS and the OE master cylinder. Three kits are currently available in a 5 x 5 lug pattern: the 12.19-inch kit features a forged Dynalite four- piston caliper with ULHP rotors with 32 straight vanes in a precision plain face or e-coated SRP drilled and slotted rotor. The 12.88- and 14.00-inch kits feature forged Superlite four piston calipers and e-coated Spec37 rotors with 48 and 72 curved vanes respectively, with GT slotted or SRP drilled & slotted styles.
Wilwood’s BP-10 street performance brake pads and premium-grade hardware are included and the calipers are available in gloss red or black powder coat with 22 optional colors (additional charges apply).MSRP starts at $1,277 for the new Drum-to-Disc Brake Kit for GM 1500 series pickups.
