Parts Shopping and Prize Winning in Des Moines this Weekend!

Before you head to the Speedway Motors Heartland Nationals in a couple days, be sure to make a shopping list! We’re not talking about snacks for the afternoon (there’s plenty of great food offerings at the Iowa State Fairgrounds) rather a list of car parts you need to upgrade or help finish your hot rod project.

The Heartland Nationals literally brings in truck loads of the latest, greatest parts from the biggest names in the industry. We’re talking about everything from crate engines to interior restoration parts, garage equipment and more. If you prefer to hunt for a special used component, there’s a huge swap meet with aisles of used, NOS and rare parts. Right around the corner is the Cars 4-Sale Corral with a gathering of vintage cars and trucks just waiting for a new owner!

If you’re a registered participant, you’ll want to make sure to cruise by the Choice Product Giveaway booth located at the north side of the Varied Industries Building a couple times a day. The hard-working volunteer Rodders Reps draw tickets for great prizes from over 30 hot rod companies such as a $250 Gift Card from Speedway Motors, Coker Tire or Holley! Prizes are drawn and posted in the booth at 10am, noon and 2pm on Friday and Saturday followed by 10am and 1:00pm on Sunday.

With so many manufactures and parts to choose from, it’s best to be prepared with a list of performance goodies to take home! Check out the full list of vendors that will be on display HERE!
