Goodguys Top 12 Cars of the Year Headed to Scottsdale
The Goodguys Top 12 cars and trucks from the 2018 event season are all headed to the season-ending 21st Southwest Nationals, November 16-18 at Westworld of Scottsdale. The Twelve winners will be displayed together as a group showcasing the finest vintage iron America has to offer. This is your exclusive chance to see the cars displayed together as a group – one of the rarest sights in hot rodding!

From radical to traditional, each one of these vehicles has been crafted to perfection. The lone stocker, our 2018 Muscle Car of the Year isn’t modified but it was treated to the best restoration possible. Some of these are million dollar babies! Let’s have a look!
Goodguys 2018 Street Rod Headquarters Custom of the Year – Bruce and Cheryl Conwell, 1949 Cadillac
Known as “Wickcad”, the Conwell’s ’49 Caddy by Chris Carlson features literally hundreds of body mods, LS3 power, a Roadster Shop chassis and Circle Racing Wheels with custom Caddy centers.
Goodguys 2018 March Performance Street Rod d’Elegance – Skip and Debbie Walls, 1940 Ford Convertible
Known as “Lucille,” – the Walls’ 1940 Ford convertible by Goolsby Customs is a traditionally inspired street rod featuring a custom chopped canvas lid, stack-injected small block Chevy and a Roadster Shop chassis.
Goodguys 2018 Tank’s Hot Rod of the Year – David Martin, Los Angeles, CA, 1932 Ford Roadster
Fresh off winning America’s Most Beautiful Roadster, David Martin’s redone deuce hair blower by Hot Rods and Hobbies stormed the field with its Ed Pink all-aluminum small block, Moal coachworks front suspension and custom shot-peened EVOD wheels!
Goodguys 2018 PPG Street Machine of the Year – Stuart Adams, Lake Havasu, 1969 Camaro
Known as “Tux,” Stuart Adams’ ’69 Camaro by Detroit Speed is a masterful yet subtle redesign of America’s most famous muscle car. Featuring a complete DSE suspension, a supercharged LS3 and rich black paint, it rolls on chrome Forgeline wheels.
Goodguys 2018 Classic Instruments Street Rod of the Year – Dennis and Mark Mariani, 1929 Ford Sedan
Built from scratch at Rad Rides by Troy, this Amazing A is a showcase of old world coachbuilding with a radically reproportioned body and chassis, custom RRBT interior, crazy cool suspension, a potent small block by Bob Panella and one-off custom machined wheels.
Goodguys 2018 BASF America’s Most Beautiful Street Rod – Robert Anderson, 1936 Pontiac
Known as “Pindian,” this 1936 Pontiac is the latest full-custom build to come from Steve Legens and his talented team at Legens Hot Rods. Major metal mods, pearl white paint, and a trick interior highlighted by a an incredible center-mounted spherical gauge cluster make this beauty tick.
Goodguys 2018 Scott’s Hot Rods Truck of the Year Early – Danielle Lutz, 1934 Ford Pickup
A trick lil’ pickup by Jason Graham Hot Rods, Danielle’s Fab Ford pickup features a radically lowered bed with above-bed rear suspension, a neat small block with extra trick valve covers and house-designed wheels cut by Neely Precision.

Goodguys 2018 Griot’s Garage Muscle Machine of the Year – Vic Buraglio, 1969 Dodge Charger
