Wilwood offers an Electric Parking Brake on their OBS Truck Drum-to-Disc Conversion Kits
A parking brake is an important safety feature that should be operational on any vehicle – manual trans or automatics. To answer this need, and to take old cables and resbuilding wonky pedal assemblies out of the equation, Wilwood has engineered a new rear drum-to-disc conversion upgrade brake kit featuring an Electric Parking Brake (EPB) option for the GM OBS truck platform.
These conversion kits provide increased clamping force, enhanced thermal capacity, and improved pedal feel, offering more confident braking in daily street performance, as well as in heavy-use applications such as off-road, towing, hauling, and commercial workloads. The external electric parking brake provides superior static holding power and a simplified installation with the included controller, harness and switch assembly.
Designed specifically for ’88-’98 GM C1500 Silverado/Sierra trucks for a modern, superior disc brake setup. Wilwood’s four piston rear drum-to-disc conversion brake kits come in four configurations to fit your application: Forged Dynalite caliper with 12.19” x .81” rotor to fit most 15” wheels; Forged Narrow Superlite caliper with two-piece aluminum hat/Spec37 12.88”x1.10” and 14.00”x1.10” rotor to fit most 17” and 18” wheels respectively; and Aerolite caliper with two-piece aluminum hat/Spec37 14.00”x1.10” rotor to fit most 18” wheels.
All Wilwood kits come with a choice of black E-coated GTB slotted or SRP drilled and slotted rotors, BP-10 street performance pads, and Electric Parking Brake with caliper brackets, connection kit with ECU wiring harness, on/off switch, and premium-grade installation hardware. Calipers are available in gloss red or black powder coat, with 26 surcharge color options available.
