TCI Engineering Delivers a Chassis Offers a Heavy-Duty Off-Roading 4×4 Chassis for 1967-72 F-100 Trucks
TCI Engineering is proud to release an all new 4×4 Chassis for 1967-72 Ford F100 pickups. The Chassis is designed as direct replacement for the original frame and includes all cab, floor, core support, engine, transmission, and bumper bracketry.
Not only are the frame rails boxed, but TCI also beefed up the rail strength using their ‘Honeycomb’ frame rail inserts by adding a 3-foot-long mesh insert down the middle of the frame rails to produce additional torsional rigidity. They also widened the front half of the frame to provide additional steering and header clearance to accomodate late model Ford drivetrain platforms including a driver-side output Atlas Transfer Case.
TCI worked with RockJock for the most durable steering components including a Borgeson steering box from 1966-77 Broncos. RockJock High Steer Forged knuckles, Forged Outer Tie Rods, and 5-lug unit-bearing hubs are all based on the Jeep JL (2018-present) platform. Crucial steering angles and a custom extended Panhard bar were designed to minimize bump steer and lateral movement. Common 5×5 bolt pattern hubs offer many popular wheel choices and will accept up to 37-inch tall tires while maintaining full turning radius, travel and articulation.
TCI took care while designing the suspension systems to be just as capable off-road as it is on road. Working closely with Currie Enterprises and RockJocks, our engineers developed a multi-functional front and rear 4-Link suspension including maximized length link bars that provide minimal wheelbase change throughout travel and have the added benefit of limiting roll steer. TCI includes a Currie high pinion 44 (Front) and Currie high pinion 60 (Rear) complete axles as standard equipment while their “Extreme 60” 1-ton axles are available as an option. Adjustable coil-overs deliver a comfortable ride that can be matched to your driving style whether you’re cruising down the highway, flying across the desert or crawling up and over a rock wall.
All TCI Engineering products come with their Dual Warranty 6 Year, 60,000 Mile Warranty on wear and tear items like bushings, tie rods, & ball joints. Any items built in house by TCI Engineering such as link bars, control arms, spindles, crossmembers, etc come with a Lifetime Warranty.
