The third gen GM F-cars, best known as Camaros and Firebirds are finally getting the respect they deserve from both enthusiasts and the aftermarket. Whether you’re restoring one to factory stock or building one with a big-powered LS engine, Tanks Inc. has you covered with a brand new, bolt-in fuel tank.
There’s just no reason to try to clean and seal the original tank as Tank’s new fuel tank, designed specifically for ’82 – ‘92 Chevy Camaro and Pontiac Firebird models, is engineered for modern fuel-injection applications. Each tank features internal baffling required to support high performance engines along with fuel pump options to feed engines making up to 1,000 horsepower so you can ensure consistent fuel delivery under acceleration, cornering and braking.
Each tank is formed from heavy duty steel then powder coated in a better than factory looking silver finish for an OEM appearance. The fuel pump and sending units mount in a recessed area providing adequate clearance for fuel line connections and installation is further simplified with a two-piece filler neck design that provides easier alignment and fitment.
Tanks new third gen Camaro and Firebird tanks are Ideal for street performance, pro-touring, and restomod applications, or restorations. A variety of accessories are available to complete your installation including standard and floatless fuel sending units, floor access panels, different fuel pumps, and more. They even offer tanks for the ’93 – ’97 and ’98 models.
