New C10 Pedals and Pads from Speedway Motors
You’ve likely put a lot of time and effort into the interior of your 2nd-gen C10 with fresh carpet and seats, maybe gauges or the steering wheel – but have you ever thought about those worn out stock pedals? Speedway Motors has – and they can provide the finishing touch to your C10 interior with Speedway Motors C10 Billet Pedal Pad Kits.
Available in brushed, polished, or black anodized 6061-T6, the gas pedal converts the floor mount to a smooth acting suspended design with a splined pivot to provide adjustment. Matching billet brake and parking brake pads are included along with mounting hardware (auto and manual trans sets available!).
The ’67 – ’70 C10 uses a mechanical throttle linkage and floor mounted plastic accelerator pedal that isn’t anything special appearance wise. Sure, it works (most of the time) but the second you get into any sort of engine swap, like the popular LS swaps most C10s are seeing these days, or any sort of high performance engine build, the mechanical throttle linkage can get a bit sketchy.
Speedway Motors’ C10 pedal conversion utilizes the factory firewall mounting holes for easy installation which sandwiches the firewall between the accelerator pedal mount pad and firewall trim plate for a strong and secure assembly. The gas pedal also has a splined pivot shaft assembly providing adjust to the pedal height/angle for driving comfort and to ensure your carburetor or EFI throttle body achieves 100 percent opening.
The Speedway Motors C10 Billet Gas Pedals use standard aftermarket throttle cables, which mount through a factory stamped firewall hole, so there is no need for additional visible holes to be made. Speedway also offers cut-to-fit throttle cables compatible with this accelerator pedal assembly for carbureted and popular fuel injection applications.
