Ridetech Introduces their Momentum Full Chassis Series with the First Design for ’68-’72 Chevelles and GM A-Bodies

We all know Ridetech for their innovative suspension components to help hot rodders make their cars and trucks not only look great, but also perform and ride smooth. In fact, they’ve been at it for nearly 30 years with their with proven products including their air suspension systems, Shock Waves, coilovers, StreetGrip systems, and R-Joint Rod Ends just to name a few. Their latest offering is big – their all new Momentum Chassis Series! Ridetech Momentum ChassisThat’s right, a complete chassis starting with the second generation GM A-body coupes including the ’68-’72 Chevrolet Chevelle, Buick Skylark and GSX, and Oldsmobile 4-4-2 with more applications to come. This is Ridetech’s fist complete chassis: designed, engineered, and manufactured in the USA from the ground up giving them the ability to design a suspension system without the constraints of the 50-year-old factory specifictations.

The Momentum Chassis has been engineered to deliver superior handling, increased wheel and tire clearance, and unmatched compatibility  and strength to handle modern horsepower and tire/wheel technology. Builders and enthusiasts alike will be able to tailor the suspension to their preferred style of driving whether it be comfortable street cruising, high-performance driving, or a full-on track car. Let’s take a look at a few key benefits to the Momentum Chassis:

  • True Performance Geometry: Reengineered suspension pickup points improve camber gain, caster, roll center, and Ackermann.
  • Ride Height Adjustable: Like existing Ridetech A-body systems this chassis lowers vehicle ride height roughly 2’’ from factory and can be adjusted more to suit desired height.
  • Improved Tire Clearance: Up to 275/40R18 on 18×9″ (6″ BS) for the front and 295/40R18 on 18×11″ (6.5″ BS) out back (Mini-tubs can allow up to 335mm rear tires)
  • Modular Suspension Compatibility: Choose Ridetech/Fox Factory Coilovers or Shockwave Air Suspension. Both bolt in.
  • Steering Modernization: Rack-&-pinion steering improves steering feel and feedback.
  • Robust Driveline Foundation: Fabricated Ford 9” Rear Axle Housing available in both standard and narrow widths
  • Engine & Transmission Flexibility: Accommodates small/big block Chevy, LS, & Gen V LT engines. Adjustable transmission crossmember accepts popular popular manuals & automatics
  • Braking Options: Choose from pin spindles (stock-style & aftermarket Wilwood/Baer kits) or Hub spindles (C5/C6/C7 brakes with factory or aftermarket calipers)Ridetech Momentum
