Old Air Products Introduces their HS2 Electronic Climate Control Systems for Chevrolet 1969-’74 Novas
Owners of 1969 – ’74 Novas are going to appreciate the latest product release from Texas based Old Air Products; a complete, electronically controlled HS2 A/C, Heat and Defrost Systems. The system is built around Old Air Products’ proven Hurricane evaporator technology, and features a redesigned airflow system that improves air distribution while delivering exceptional cooling and heating performance.
The new HS2 lineup is available for both factory air and heater-only Novas and includes options for either driver-side or passenger-side compressor mounting to accommodate a wide variety of engine combinations. The system also features electronic controls that fit in the factory location in the dash provide smooth, reliable operation, replacing aging mechanical components with modern technology while preserving a clean factory-style appearance.
For heater-only vehicles, the system comprises of the HS2 evaporator assembly, electronic control, wiring harness, an in-dash louver & underdash plenum with louvers, duct hose, block-off plate, and all required mounting. HS2 systems for Factory Air vehicles include the HS2 evaporator assembly, electronic control, wiring harness, adapters to connect to the factory dash louvers, duct hose, firewall cover plate, and mounting hardware.
The Inside Package contains all interior components needed to install the HS2 unit, while the Complete System also includes a vehicle-specific SuperKool condenser assembly, compressor, compressor mounting bracket, reduced barrier A/C hose kit, receiver/drier, safety switch, and all remaining underhood components required for a complete A/C installation.
