Holley LS Fest West 2022 takes over Las Vegas Motor Speedway
When someone asks what Holley LS Fest is or say, “I’ve heard of it but I don’t have a LS engine so I’ve never gone”. Well, my friend, you are doing yourself a disservice.
I like to think of the LS Fest events as a Horsepower Sleep Away Camp weekend. An event you and your friends look forward to attending every year without question. A place where like-minded people can shred tires, autocross, drag race, drift, park it and shine it up, or fly through the air in an off-road monster. A place to hang with your best buds who are obsessed with the happy pedal as much as you are.
For those not in the know (and I’m not sure how you could be at this point), Holley LS Fest is an event you can attend if you have a 1997 or later LS engine powering your vehicle or running the current iteration LT V8. Now with that said, that doesn’t mean LS Fest is an event strictly for 1997 and newer GM vehicles. Quite the contrary. Holley doesn’t care if you swap a LS engine into a lawnmower. In fact, they would encourage you to do just a swap.
LS Fest is the perfect place to build that crazy vehicle you dreamed up in your head. You want to buy a used Tesla and swap in a LS3 powerplant? Go right ahead. Maybe drag racing is your thing? LS Fest has it. Wanna swap a LS motor in your old foxbody that’s been sitting on the side of your house for 8 years? Well, what are you waiting for? Anything and everything is more than welcome at LS Fest and Holley doesn’t care what vehicle the engine is in, as long as it’s LS powered.
Holley LS Fest West has occupied Las Vegas Motor Speedway the last 5 years and with good reason. Everything is accessible within the facility, although be sure to bring your pedometer and a good pair of walking shoes because you will get your steps in. There’s so much to see on a given day and night that you really need to plan it out, so you don’t miss any of the action.
