16 FOR ’21

Goodguys has a full schedule planned for 2021, with 16 events coming to 13 different markets around the country, including new dates and destinations.

The season kicks off with the 11th LMC Truck Spring Lone Star Nationals in Fort Worth, Texas, March 12-14. Texas is truck country and LMC Truck will help us celebrate that with special truck-only parking areas, a dedicated truck AutoCross competition, and fun features like a Friday-night tailgate party. We’re sure to haul home some memories from this this season-opener!

We’ve shuffled our spring schedule and moved the 11th FiTech Fuel Injection Spring Nationals in Scottsdale, Arizona to April 16-18. From there, we head east to the 6th Griot’s Garage North Carolina Nationals April 23-25 in Raleigh, North Carolina.

We’re looking forward to the 2nd RaceDeck Salt Lake Nationals returning to its original spring dates – May 21-23, which should be a beautiful time in Utah! That’s followed by the 15th BASF Nashville Nationals on a new date – Memorial Day weekend! It’ll be a great way to ignite the summer season for Goodguys as we host the annual Tanks, Inc. Hot Rod of the Year competition.

Summertime ushers in sun-drenched fun beginning with the mid-summer classic – the 30th Speedway Motors Heartland Nationals presented by BASF July 2-4 in Des Moines, Iowa. That leads us to the “Big One” – the 23rd Summit Racing Nationals presented by PPG July 9-11 at the Ohio Expo Center in Columbus, Ohio.

After a pass through Washington for the 33rd Griot’s Garage Pacific Northwest Nationals in Puyallup July 23-25, and the 19th Great Northwestern Nationals August 13-15 in Spokane, we’ll head to Pennsylvania and gather the coolest Northeast iron together for the 2nd Grundy Collector Car Insurance Great American Nationals August 20-22. We then return to California for the signature 34th West Coast Nationals presented by BASF, August 27-29 in Pleasanton, which is now open to 1987-and-older vehicles.

The 23rd Colorado Nationals presented by Griot’s Garage finishes off the summer in Loveland on September 10-12, while we usher in autumn at the 28th Summit Racing Lone Star Nationals September 24-26 in Fort Worth. We’ll follow that up with a rescheduled fall date for our 20th Meguiar’s Del Mar Nationals event (historically in April) at the Del Mar Fairgrounds on October 1-3.

We’ll wrap up the year with two longtime fall favorites, starting with the 31st Autumn Get-Together November 13-14 in Pleasanton, California. Then comes the grand finale: the 24th Speedway Motors Southwest Nationals presented by Barrett-Jackson November 19-21.

WIDE-OPEN FUN

Goodguys events have always been about more than just showin’ and shinin’, and we’re looking forward to bringing back some favorite weekend happenings this season. Highlights like our popular Burnout Contests and Nitro Thunderfest exhibitions make joyful mechanical noise and bring a kinetic, full-sensory experience to participants and spectators alike.

And since gearheads love checking out parts, Goodguys hosts a swap meet and vendor midway at every event. These are perfect places to shop for parts, take advantage of event sales specials, sell off some extra pieces, or maybe even find your next ride. Whether you’re buyin’ or sellin’, Goodguys will put you in the right place to make a deal.

There’s much more fun to be had during a Goodguys weekend, from live music and great food, to kids’ activities, hotel parties, and more. Be sure to join the action!

BETWEEN THE CONES

After an abbreviated year in 2020, Goodguys AutoCross will be back in full force at 14 events in 2021. Each AutoCross event will culminate in multiple shootouts to determine winners in individual classes or class groupings. The season will race to a dramatic finish at the Duel in the Desert November 19-21 during the Goodguys 24th Speedway Motors Southwest Nationals, where we’ll crown the Goodguys 2021 AutoCrosser of the Year. Stay tuned for an expanded AutoCross preview in the April Goodguys Gazette, where we’ll have a full breakdown on classes, rules, sponsors, and tips to keep you between the cones!

SUNDAY FUNDAY

Got a later-model ride and want to join the Goodguys fun? Then bring it out for All American Sunday! Open to all years of American-made and American-powered vehicles, this is a great chance to show off that newer ride and participate in the Goodguys fun. There’s even a special All American Sunday AutoCross class and shootout so you can go cone-carving, too!

CLEAN & SAFE

If there’s one thing we all learned from 2020, it’s the importance of good health and hygiene habits. We developed the Goodguys Cares guidelines to address this, and you can expect many of these measures to remain in place this year.

Specific guidelines will vary depending on event location and timing, but participants and spectators should be prepared to observe social distancing and may be required to wear face coverings. Goodguys will have extra hand-washing stations available and will work with event facilities to ensure extra cleaning in restrooms and food areas. Be sure to check online at good-guys.com ahead of each event to review the latest safety measures.

ROAD RULES

There’s nothing like hitting the road in a rod or custom and our two Hall of Fame Road Tours will help you do that! Both tours will depart from Salt Lake City in late September, taking different scenic routes to the 28th Summit Racing Lone Star Nationals in Texas. Registration slots are limited, and signups begin on February 12. Visit good-guys.com for updates or contact Jamie Sa at: [email protected].

SPECIAL DISPLAYS

All Goodguys event offer a kaleidoscope of cool cars, but be sure to look for some fun specialty displays at certain events this year. We’ll have many special gatherings throughout the season, often as part of our indoor display areas. Whether it’s the expanded LMC Truck Showcase in Texas, the Lowrider Display or Good Wood at the Del Mar Nationals, or Mustang Madness in Columbus, these focused celebrations of specific car and truck genres offer a special glimpse at colorful facets of our hobby.
