The Street Machine of the Year Breakdown
Who’s Eligible: Street machines 1954 through 1987 vintage
The Entry Criteria: All award candidates parked in a special lot this morning, got checked in then ran the mandatory a two-lap Goodguys AutoCross Friday afternoon. The AutoCross lap times do not determine the overall winner, but style points do count! It’s very competitive and refreshing to see these non “Trailer Queens” put their super cars through their paces, stretching their legs and seeing how their suspension set ups work in a hi-performance setting.
What the Judging Committee Looks For: This award is designed for a cutting edge Street Machine which combines masterful build quality with extreme performance. Quality of craftsmanship, body & paint, overall engineering, the three F’s (fit, form & functionality) stance, and overall creativity in design and concept is what the selection committee will seek.
