Gap It from Strange Motion

Everyone aims for straight gaps when aligning body panels on classic cars, and Tim Strange with Strange Motion has created a neat tool that you didn’t know you needed. The Gap It tool is a handy four-sided measuring device made from plastic that delivers consistent gaps and does so in a safer way.

Most shops use a piece of metal, or a paint stick with tape on it, to measure gaps during fab and panel alignment which can be inconsistent and, in some cases, unsafe on painted surfaces. The Gap It tool is small enough to keep in your pocket while working, and features four different gap sizes – 1/8”, 3/16”, 1/4”, and 5/16”. It features a shoulder to align panels to each other horizontally, which also prevents “rocking in the gap” for more precise consistency.

A simple, handy, tool and affordable for every toolbox. Available on www.StrangeMotion.com.
