Friday First Look! Goodguys 27th Griot’s Garage Colorado Nationals
Who’s ready for some high-altitude hot rodding? Goodguys sure is, and we’re bringing our special brand of automotive excitement to the Front Range of the Rockies this weekend for the 27th Griot’s Garage Colorado Nationals in Loveland. We got the party started today at The Ranch Events Complex and are looking forward to two more days of Goodguys Good Times at the base of the majestic Rocky Mountains.
A handful of rodders got an early start to the weekend with a fun Hot Rod Cruise up to Wyotech on Thursday, which got our engines warming up and the oil flowing for a full day of Goodguys fun on Friday. A cool, cloudy morning resulted in a gradual build throughout the day until the facility was full for the sunny afternoon. There was plenty of variety, color, and style to be seen as rides were wiped down, shown off, and cruised around the grounds.
A full roster of activities kept the day busy. We welcomed a huge group of local high school students for our Careers in Hot Rodding program, while the expansive swap meet had seasoned rodders hunting for good deals. There was also a full day of AutoCross racing, a Summit Racing Nitro Thunderfest exhibition, plenty of vendors to visit, plus good friends to visit with and great food to enjoy.
We finished the day off with a fantastic TGIF party at Pinkee’s Rod Shop and Mash Lab Brewing. This was the last hurrah for these Friday festivities, as Pinkee’s will soon be closing its Colorado location. We’re beyond grateful to Eric and Cristin Peratt for their dedication in supporting the Colorado Nationals for so many years!
With great weather on tap for the weekend and a fantastic Front Range facility to enjoy, we’re expecting the Good Times to keep growing and flowing for the next couple of days. It’s going to be a great time, so we invite you to join us if you’re in the area. If not, stay tuned to Goodguys social media and FuelCurve.com for more highlights of this high-altitude hot rod celebration!
