Friday First Look! Goodguys 13th LMC Truck Spring Lone Star Nationals presented by TREMEC

Let’s get this season started! The great state of Texas welcomed Goodguys with open arms and sunny skies today as we officially kicked off the 2023 event season at the 13th LMC Truck Spring Lone Star Nationals presented by TREMEC! We had a fantastic first day today at Texas Motor Speedway in Fort Worth, where a cool morning gave way to comfortable springtime afternoon temperatures and the infield steadily filled up with a colorful bloom of hot rods, vintage trucks, cool customs, potent street machines, and classic rides of all hues and styles.

In addition to welcoming thousands of old friends and fellow members, Goodguys also teamed up with the ASE Education Foundation to welcome dozens of high school students for a special Careers in Hot Rodding panel discussion led my six members of the automotive aftermarket. This was followed by a lunch sponsored by WyoTech and a chance for the students to explore the event. What a great way to get the next generation excited about our industry!

Throughout the TMS infield today you could see smiles on the faces of enthusiasts as they cruised into the event in their beloved cars and trucks and got them wiped down and shined up for the first big event of the season. And we had plenty of things to keep them busy once their cars were clean, with a huge vendor midway, an expansive swap meet, Goodguys CPP AutoCross action, a Nitro Thunderfest exhibition, Team Texas NASCAR Experience rides, and much more.

It’s just the start of what promises to be a weekend filled with Good Times and great weather to get the Goodguys season started on a high note. Come join us if you’re anywhere near North Texas and stay tuned for more highlights from this Lone Star springtime tradition.
