Friday First Look! Goodguys 11th Griot’s Garage North Carolina Nationals presented by Grundy Insurance
Wow, what a Friday! We just wrapped up a full day of serious hot rodding good times at the Goodguys 11th Griot’s Garage North Carolina Nationals Presented by Grundy Insurance and it was rocking in Raleigh! Classic muscle cars, vintage trucks, and custom hot rods rumbled across the North Carolina Fairgrounds taking in an action packed day of Cool Cars, Cool People, and Good Times. In fact, many participants started the weekend Thursday evening at Raleigh Speed Shop for their annual kickoff party as a warm up for the weekend.
It was a perfect spring day with blue skies and warmer temps making it ideal to take a lap cruising the North Carolina Fairgrounds to check out all the cars and trucks on display. The indoor car show and swap meet brought a reprieve from the heat followed by a stroll through the Cars 4 Sale Corral and the Manufacturers Midway to check out all the cool parts and supplies. 
From across the grounds you could hear the roar of engines and squeal of tires from the racers on the Goodguys AutoCross as racers tested, tuned, and pracited their lines and apexes as they prepared to qualify for Saturday’s No Limit Engineering Rumble in Raleigh Shootout on Saturday.
Saturday promises to be absolutely packed with more cars, more trucks, and high octane hot rodding fun with special parking areas, serious AutoCross competition, burnouts, live entertainment, and more. Goodguys will also be selecting four regional finalists for their Top 12 of the Year awards program including Snap-on Muscle Car, LMC Truck Early, Dakota Digital Truck Late, and Griot’s Garage Muscle Machine along with the Builders Choice Top 10 selected by Jonathan Goolsby of Goolsby Customs. The afternoon is capped off with a parade of all the award winners starting promptly at 4:00 – followed by the grinding and crunching of metal at the demolition derby.
