Friday First Look! Goodguys 15th FiTech Fuel Injection Nationals Presented by Grundy Insurance
Hot rodders, start your engines! It’s time to get the Goodguys 2025 event season in gear and on the road! We’re revved up and ready for some Cool Cars and Good Times following a long offseason, and we got the wheels turning today with the 15th FiTech Fuel Injection Spring Nationals presented by Grundy Insurance.
Like any great gearhead gathering, this one started with a pre-party on Thursday in the form of a Hot Rod Tour around the greater Phoenix area. It was a scenic, fun-filled day where we were treated to fantastic sights at area shops and private garages, including the Dennis Wise and Andrew McQueen collections, Hot Rods by Dean, and the amazing private collection of Rick Cox. What a great way to get primed for the weekend!
Friday dawned cool and a little overcast, but that didn’t keep the diehard hot rodders and car enthusiasts from streaming into WestWorld of Scottsdale with some of the finest rides from the Southwest and beyond. The variety was incredible, as we welcomed vintage-style hot rods, cool customs, classics of all types, vintage trucks, muscle cars, and more. Goodguys members thrive on variety, and it really showed on the WestWorld grounds!
The variety went beyond the cars and trucks and extended to different activities throughout the day, as well. The Goodguys AutoCross season got off to a fast start on a competitive track, while automotive treasures of all types could be found in the huge swap meet. We welcomed hundreds of high school kids for the Careers in Hot Rodding program, and hosted scores of vendors selling parts and other wares. Throw in a Summit Racing Nitro Thunderfest exhibition, some cruising, and lots of hanging out with friends, and there was plenty to keep any car-crazy guy or gal busy.
The best part is that those activities and more will be happening all weekend here in Scottsdale, and we expect a bigger and better field of cars and trucks on Saturday and Sunday.
