Friday First Look! Goodguys 19th BASF Nashville Nationals
Who’s ready for a weekend of making mechanical music and memories in Tennessee! All of us at Goodguys certainly are, and we’ve got thousands of gearhead friends joining us at Nashville Superspeedway for three days of hot rods, cool cars, and good times for the 19th BASF Nashville Nationals!
We kicked off the festivities in fine fashion today with a full day of activities on the superspeedway infield and beyond. More than two dozen rowdy hot rods gathered first thing this morning to check in for the Tanks, Inc. Hot Rod of the Year competition and reliability run. We’ll bring you a separate post on Saturday chronicling their fun day of Tennessee two-lane action, but we can say with certainty that the 2025 Hot Rod of the Year lineup is one of the strongest in recent memory!
Back at the track, the infield slowly filled up with a wide range of vintage iron under overcast (but dry) skies. The temperatures were comfortable, the vibe was chill, and the cars and trucks were as sweet as Tennessee whiskey. We had a full complement of things to do and see – dozens of vendors, a sizeable swap meet, great food, the Auto World Family Fun Zone, monster truck rides, and much more. Plus, there was Goodguys AutoCross action all day long, with a special expanded track that uses a portion of the Nashville Superspeedway road course!
It’s shaping up to be a great weekend filled with hot rods, cool cruisers, great friends, and the fun times that happen when you put them all together.
