Edelbrock teamed up with legendary engine builder and drag racer Pat Musi to develop a series of high performance crate engines. Three engines are offered including a carbureted model and two EFI fueled versions. Each engine is based on a new cast iron 4-bolt block, CNC-ported Edelbrock aluminum heads and all new internals – and supplied with a two year warranty! Each Edelbrock-Musi 555 engine is hand-assembled by the legendary engine builders at Pat Musi Racing Engines in North Carolina. Carbureted

Born from the Edelbrock Musi crate engine partnership, the 555-ci Crate Engine is assembled using nothing but the best Edelbrock components including their CNC-ported cylinder heads, Victor Jr. intake manifold, forged 10:1 pistons, forged steel crank, AVS2 Series 800-cfm carburetor, Rollin’ Thunder hydraulic roller camshaft and valvetrain, and a Max-Fire ignition system for the burn. This is the base 555-ci model offered.

555 PRO-FLO 4 EFI

If you prefer EFI over a carb, the next level of the Edelbrock Musi 555 RPM Pro-Flo 4 crate engine may be the one you need. This engine is assembled with a port fuel injection intake manifold and includes the fuel injectors, fuel rails, throttle body, and Edelbrock’s Pro-Flow 4 ECU. Pre-loaded with a “ready to run” base calibration and the ability to make tuning adjustments with a free mobile app for Android and Apple tablets and phones. A billet distributor, complete engine harness, O2 sensor and fuel line are all included to complete the installation.

555 PRO-FLO 4 XT EFI

The big dog of the bunch is the Edelbrock Musi 555 Pro-Flo XT – their most powerful crate engine package. The engine is fueled by Edelbrock’s powerful Pro-Flo XT electronic fuel injection based on an unique intake manifold design that delivers more horsepower and torque than a traditional single-plane intake manifold. The system also includes fuel injectors, fuel rails, O2 sensor, throttle body, and electronic engine control unit (ECU). This engine comes with a “ready to run” base calibration and can be tuned with a free mobile app.
