Cruisin’ For a Good Cause at the Cure Cancer Car Show
Cruisin’ to a car show on a beautiful spring day is great. Cruisin’ to one that benefits a good cause is even better! That’s what hot rodders and enthusiasts in Nebraska and Iowa had a chance to do on Saturday May 7, 2022 as the Cure Cancer Car Show in Omaha gave people an excuse to get their cars and trucks out, gather together, and check out Peter Fink’s American Muscle Car Museum, all while raising funds for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.
The event was hosted by Annali Leach, an accomplished Omaha-area real estate professional who just happens to be married to acclaimed hot rod builder Andy Leach of CAL Automotive Creations. Annali was nominated as Nebraska’s Woman of the Year for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society and the Cure Cancer Car Show was her main event to help raise $100,000 for children with cancer.
Annali and Andy pulled out all the stops for this one-day show, which featured some incredible raffle prizes, a bounce house for the kids, live music, and more. The couple’s friend, Wayne Carini from “Chasing Classic Cars,” was even on hand to meet people and help select awards!
The real treat, though, was the opportunity to check out the incredible American Muscle Car Museum owned by Peter Fink. The museum showcases Fink’s amazing collection of muscle cars, which has grown steadily through the years alongside the success of Fink’s business, Certified Transmission. There are more than 120 cars, including some of the most desirable American muscle cars to ever roll down the assembly line. From Mopar wing machines to Boss Mustangs and hi-po Trans Ams, the collection is a true time capsule.
Annali and Andy tell us the Cure Cancer Car Show was a great success and they’re getting closer to achieving their fundraising goal. If you’d like to support this worthwhile effort, visit www.OmahaCharityCarShow.com for more information.
