Cars and Coffee San Francisco – Benefits Make-A-Wish Foundation
Cars and Coffee San Francisco is a monthly car meet event put on by GMP Cars to support the Make-A-Wish Foundation of the Greater Bay Area. GMP Cars has been producing this event since 2014 and over the past several years has raised tens of thousands of dollars for Make-A-Wish recipients. Cars and Coffee is synonymous with bringing people together from all walks of life and gets the public engaged with their passion and fanatical affliction with cars of all types, makes and models. The images you see in this article were at the December meet.
At Cars and Coffee San Francisco you will see everything you could imagine, from a Ferrari F40 or Lamborghini Aventador to a Lowrider 1964 Chevy Impala or Plymouth Superbird. Even though people’s tastes in vehicles differ they all come together for Cars and Coffee celebrating their love for cars. Someone may go their whole life without laying eyes on a Porsche 918 or Ferrari F12tdf. Cars and Coffee San Francisco gives you the ability to see these cars up close and personal in a fun, family and dog- friendly environment. GMP Cars does their best to provide not only a safe location but one that is able to house over 1000 cars at each event monthly.
GMP Cars’ monthly gathering has grown greatly since its inception. Initially with 300 cars at Pier 30/32 in San Francisco quickly turned into 600 cars which then was followed up by 900-plus cars and a new location at Treasure Island off of the Bay Bridge between San Francisco and Oakland in order to accommodate a gathering of that size. The Treasure Island location saw the largest turnout in 2016 with over 1600 cars in attendance. The event was then moved to Alameda Point across the bay in early 2017 but this location was not a good long term fit for Cars and Coffee San Francisco. GMP Cars spent months searching for a new location for the premier monthly car event in the Bay Area and was happy to find a location still within range for most patrons.
The Shops at Hilltop in Richmond is the new home for Cars and Coffee San Francisco. This location meets the criteria of being able to hold 1000+ cars, has easy access from the freeway which minimizes the traffic impact and is a safe, family friendly location. The next event is being held today from 8am to 11am in the lower Macy’s parking lot between Macy’s and Sears at the mall located at 2500 Hilltop Mall Rd in the city of Richmond. Car clubs from all over are already planning road rallies and early morning drives to today’s event.
If you want an awesome dose of morning motoring, join us at the largest monthly car meet in the bay area. Shine up your ride and come on out!
