C10 Intervention – A NorCal Knockout!
Truck-specific shows continue to sweep the country and a big one growing steam is the C10 Intervention held in Northern California every September for 1908-1998 GM trucks.
The C10 Intervention presented by Brothers Truck Parts brings them in from all over the Western United States. Of course the California trucks roll out to support this local show, but we also saw plates from Arizona, Nevada, Washington, and Oregon as well. The main north-south Interstate 5 along the west coast sees a lot of classic trucks tearing up the highway in September to converge in Auburn, CA for a weekend throw-down.
Hosted by the C10 Club, C10 Club Sacramento, and Dropped Lower, the third running of the C10 Intervention was a huge success in 2020 not only because the 450 available spots sold out in just 24 hours, but pulling it off given COVID-19 restrictions plaguing shows and events across the country in 2020 was a win in itself. And it was a much-needed sense of normalcy for those in attendance.

Brad Coleman’s in-progress ’68 CST (Custom Service Truck) was a big hit and is 100% owner built by Brad. Like everybody else, we cant wait to see this one wrapped up!
- We caught Ronnie Wetch of C10Talk chattin’ with Brett Haskin about his newly finished ’68 GMC seen on the right.
Aside from a jam-packed show on Sunday, the C10 Intervention was more than a field of cool trucks. The weekend kicked off with a well-attended cruise on Saturday evening organized by Newcastle Garage that was followed by the C10 Compadres mixer Saturday night at the Red Lion host hotel. The hotel parking lot was hoppin’ until well after the sun set!
When the gates opened early Sunday morning, the trucks rolled in one after another for a couple solid hours. Clubs were represented in groups with signage displayed proudly, vendors were set up with products being showcased, Provost Motorsports hosted a VIP lounge with unlimited food, drinks and shade, 15 high-quality machined billet awards were handed out, and funds were raised for the Gold Country Fair Heritage Foundation to help continue to enhance the Gold Country Fair. What more could you want?
The crew behind the C10 Intervention deserves a lot of recognition for pulling it off this year. Additional health and safety measures were requested by both the facility and the local county and were adhered to with no hesitation from those in attendance. When it comes to truck-specific events, the C10 Intervention crew has found themselves a nice niche in NorCal!
