Even More Wheel Studs! ARP Expands their Wheel Stud Offerings
One cannot under estimate the imporance of a properly installed, strong wheel stud. American Racing Products, best known as ARP, understands every aspect of fasteners and the physics behind clamping forces. One area that they’ve invested a considerable amount of engineering and manufacturing resources is in their ever-expanding collection of high performance wheel studs for competition and street applications.
All of ARP’s wheel studs are manufactured from 8740 chrome moly steel and precision heat-treated in-house to a tensile strength of 190,000 psi. The threads are rolled after heat-treating to provide significantly improved fatigue strength. The studs are cadmium plated for extra protection —with an unique bullet-nosed Speed Studs design and given a baked-on dry film lubricant.
Replacement press-in wheel studs are available for over three dozen OEM axles and hubs including longer studs to facilitate the use of aftermarket wheels. Screw-in studs with lengths ranging from 1.950” to 3.470” are available for aftermarket axles. These studs feature rounded noses for easy wheel and lug nut installation and to protect the threads.
